Pop star Cheryl Tweedy married England left-back Ashley Cole on Saturday 15th July 2006, with a little help from the ultimate Footballer's Wife, Victoria Beckham.
Although Posh Spice did not attend the wedding, the new Mrs Cole employed the Beckhams' favourite florist, baker and dress designer for her big day.
Victoria is even said to have advised her friend to change the venue to Wrotham Park, a stately home a short drive from Beckingham Palace.
At the Hertfordshire mansion, famous as the setting for the hit Hollywood movie Gosford Park, marquees and tight security yesterday hid the £500,000 wedding from the gathered photographers.
The couple were so keen to protect their £1million magazine deal for exclusive pictures that guests were banned from bringing cameras and mobile phones and had to sign a confidentiality agreement in which they were told not to ask for autographs.
Inside, flowers were arranged by Simon J Lycett, who worked on the Beckhams' wedding in Ireland in 2000; the £3,000 wedding cake came from the Little Venice Cake Company, who made David's 30th birthday cake, and the wedding dress was made by Mrs Beckham's favourite designer, Roberto Cavalli.
But Victoria was not on hand to see the fruits of her advice as the Beckhams are on holiday in Marbella. However, David Beckham's mother Sandra was among the first to arrive.
Cole's England team-mates Joe Cole, John Terry, Jermaine Jenas, Jermaine Defoe and Shaun Wright-Phillips were all thought to be invited - and Arsenal's Sol Campbell was there.
However, many of his club colleagues had a difficult decision to make, as Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein was also hosting his daughter Sasha's wedding yesterday.
On the bride's side, the rest of Girls Aloud - Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding - all came. Keisha Buchanan, from the Sugababes, completed the pop-star guests.
As part of the cloak-and-dagger charade to foil the Press, guests had to ring a hotline to discover where they should go for the wedding.
They were picked up in cars and coaches from a secret Central London location and driven to Trinity Chapel, a small 19th Century building on the edge of the 2,500-acre Wrotham Park estate, where the ceremony began at 5.30pm.
The 30-minute service included a gospel choir singing four songs: Amazed by Lonestar, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Oh Happy Day and If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.
The groom wore a champagne business suit with a white waistcoat and tie, and was accompanied by his brother Matthew, who was best man, and five ushers in brown suits and pink ties.
Miss Tweedy, dubbed Posh Lite, arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage - complete with blacked-out windows. Security guards held up white sheets to cover her, but she could be seen wearing a full-length cream silk dress with a hem made of lace and Swarovski crystals.
Her seven bridesmaids wore strapless full-length fuschia pink silk dresses, and carried posies of white roses.
Afterwards, the 150 guests were driven about half a mile to the 18-bedroom, £15million Wrotham Park mansion, abutted by a 500ft marquee.
Rather than have presents for their wedding, Cheryl and Ashley actually asked for money, so that all the money would go as donations to the childrens charity run by the Beckhams.
Cheryl and Ashley recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. With many more years to come.
When Cheryl first saw Ashley, she thought " why won't he look at me" Then she saw that he was crying. Which made Cheryl cry.

Cheryl Cole wiped away tears as her dad pleaded with his new son-in-law not to take his "little girl" away.
Amid rumours of footballer Ashley's imminent move to Spain, Geordie Gary Tweedy used the WAG wedding of the year to make an emotional plea for the newly-weds to stay in Britain.
Two hours into the reception, with the pink champagne flowing freely,Gary pulled footballer Ashley Cole aside for a man-to-man chat.
A guest said: "Gary got quite emotional and said that when Cheryl joined Girls Aloud it felt like he had lost his little girl. Gary then pleaded that if she and Ashley move abroad, it would be like losing her again.
"Cheryl then appeared and they had an emotional hug."
Cheryl, 23, and Ashley, 25, tied the knot in secret at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans, Herts, on Friday.
But it was at the high-security £500,000 reception at nearby Wrotham Park on Saturday - where camera-shy Cheryl rolled up in a horse-drawn carriage with blacked-out windows - that Cheryl's decorator dad got all emotional.
And the Newcastle United fan - who started his speech with the Toon's typical "why aye man" greeting - couldn't resist having a pop at Ashley's current team Arsenal.
Cheryl's bandmates Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts - dressed in burnt orange dresses with a zebra print hem - all had tears in their eyes as he cooed: "When Cheryl was born I was holding this bundle of joy in my hands but now Ashley has come and made her the happiest woman in the world. Now I want him to make me the happiest man in the world by accepting this gift."
And everyone - especially Ashley's England team-mates Sol Campbell and Jermaine Jenas - cracked up laughing as he whipped out a Newcastle United shirt with Cole on the back.
"Come on Ashley - make my dream come true," he added. "On second thoughts you better give that to Cheryl to wear when she comes to see the Toon army play because she's Cheryl Cole now."
After the steak and chips dinner Cheryl donned a slinky black and silver-mesh dress which showed off her toned body and black knickers while Ashley looked dapper in a Bugsy Malone-suit and gangster spats.
The backdrop to the room was then suddenly pulled away and the 300 guests gasped as they saw the hall had been transformed into a nightclub.
